Most of the colleges in Oxford
are people names or place/descriptive ones, and all very British names. Which is not to say that ours had to be likewise, but something like Longbeard College or Merlin's Hall might work.
I would also suggest that it could be a very selective, highly specialized kind of school. That way we can wiggle around canon issues. Not that we are totally invested in canon in our little AU. :-P
If it's called Merlin's Hall, you can bet money that Merriman gave Dumbledore a hard time about it on more than one occasion. ^^;;
How about St. Walpurga's
College? That might be an interesting in-joke in the Wizarding community -- naming the College after the saint that Walpurgisnacht
is named after?
Ooh, I like St. Walpurga's College. That would give a little ambiguity to it, too.
Aha, Walpurga is Sirius' mother's name, according to the Black Family Tree
. Or, well, Walburga, but close enough. Poor Sirius, I can just see him twitching every time the school's name was mentioned....

HA. I think that's the ticket. Good conversation starter.
